Requirements for joining BBST

To be a member of Bear Branch Swim Team: basic requirements are for the swimmer to be water-safe as determined by the coaching staff, able to put their face in the water and swim a minimum of 10 yards. While these are basic requirements, the coaching staff/board have the ultimate decision making authority as we need to keep the safety of all swimmers on the team. All of our swimmers need to be water-safe and able to keep up with the flow of an ordinary practice.  Swimmers are encourage to come to as many practices as possible, but the coaches understand there are other activities going on.

Swimmers are required to swim a minimum of 3 meets, while we understand many of us have other commitments, BBST is a swim team and not a learn to swim program

1st Swimmer: $155
2nd Swimmer: $140
3rd Swimmer: $130
4th+ Swimmer(s): Free
Swimmers age 15-18: $25

We are pleased to offer electronic payment processing and registration, which is simple for both new and returning members. You'll get access to your own private account that will enable you to easily declare for swim meets, sign-up for jobs, see your children's swim times histories, maintain your own contact information, and more.

Each family is asked to volunteer for a minimum of seven (7) shifts over the course of the season.  There are a few exceptions to volunteer requirement and they are:  1. if your family does the $500 buyout, 2. your only swimmer(s) are 15-18 years old, 3. you are a member or past member of the board, and 4. certain job coordinators.
